New prospective mod: Ponies in Hearts of Iron 2

Just like I said. I've modded EU3 a bit, so assuming its pretty much the same, I'm hoping to mod the Celestial Empire into HoI2, probably to replace the Soviet Union/Part of that same area, anyway.

Damn, if this were for HoI III I might consider reinstalling... Shame about the series, really, as it falls into that gap between incredible clunky spreadsheet simulators like Aurora, and more beer-and-pretzel style games like Civilization # or GalCiv II, without really managing to get the appeal of either. At least for me.

What the hell is Hearts of Iron?

Basically a WWII management-sim game with a heavy emphasis on logistics and economic choices, with a map and a bunch of giant index cards military units thrown in. At least, such as I understand it, because I never got very interested in it.

Well, unfortunately I do not have Hearts of Iron 3.

HoI is a grand strategy game, as realistic as it is possible to be.

Technically, magical ponies are not very realistic.
Nor would magical ponies 'realistically' be portrayed. Economy and issues being vastly different. "We are out of sugar on the front lines! Celestia help us all, my little ponies are going to riot if they find that we don't have any more sugar!"

Well, no. The mods tend to go a bit overboard.


Anyway, where shall our prospective Equestria be located?

Poland.

Like I said, Poland, so the light yellow/tan blob of territories between Germany and Soviet Russia. I'd post an image, but imgur is being annoying.

If its Poland... the capital city should be called Haysaw(Warsaw).

(Actually went the effort to make up more pony city names for this thing I'm writing and that came up to me.)

So shall we replace the polish completely?

Poor Poland... constantly being attempted to be wiped off the map by everybody. And now everypony.

Polish Ponies could rule with an iron hoof over the Polish Humans? That is if you can have vassalized countries...

You can have sort of vassalised countries. Problem being that if we vassalise Poland, we don't have much room to expand without hitting the larger powers (Germany and Russia being prime among them).
